The 10-second bio

Gaurav Makhecha is the co-founder & COO of Artisans, which builds Enterprise AI for Fortune 500 and retail businesses across India, Malaysia and Europe. He has spoken at Laracon India, GDG DevFest and tech meetups since 2018.

The longer intro

Gaurav Makhecha is the co-founder of Artisans, a software company where he runs operations. Artisans builds Enterprise AI solutions for large businesses, including a Fortune 500 automotive brand and leading retail groups across India, Malaysia and Europe. He has worked in software since 2012: he began as a web developer, went freelance, ran a web agency, and now leads a team that ships production AI systems. His talks cover building real products with AI agents and what it takes to move enterprise AI from pilot to production. He spoke at the first Laracon India and at GDG DevFest, and helps organise Rajkot's tech and IT-sales meetups. Outside work he is an active Rotarian and a cricket lover.

Topics I speak on

For business & industry audiences

  • Agentic AI beyond the demo: taking pilots to production
  • AI for auto component manufacturers: where to start
  • What breaks when AI meets real enterprise data, and how we fix it
  • Ask your database anything: safe AI data access for large organisations

For developer audiences

  • Building real products with AI agents
  • AI tools and workflows for developer productivity
  • GitHub Actions and automation

Signature talks

  1. Agentic AI Beyond the Demo: Deployment Lessons from Retail and Automotive

20–30 min keynote or panel · business audiences

Every AI demo looks impressive. Production is where most of them quietly die. Drawing on deployments for a Fortune 500 European automaker and a leading Malaysian fashion retail group, this talk shows what really happens when agentic AI meets enterprise reality: messy data, permissions, hallucination control, and humans in the loop. You'll leave with a field-tested playbook: how to judge where agents are ready for real work and where they are not, and how to move from pilot to production without burning trust or budget. Field notes, not a vendor pitch.

  2. Ask Your Database Anything: Safe AI Data Access for the Enterprise

    20–30 min · CIO / tech audiences

Leaders want answers, not another dashboard. We built a self-hosted system that lets non-technical teams query enterprise data in plain language, with SQL validation, permissions and guardrails so it can't leak data or return confidently wrong answers. This talk covers the architecture, the guardrails that matter, and the adoption lessons: what it takes before an enterprise actually trusts AI with its data.

  3. AI for Auto Component Manufacturers: Where to Start

    25–30 min · auto-components & manufacturing audiences

Component makers hear 'adopt AI' everywhere, but nobody shows them the first step. Drawing on our AI work with a Fortune 500 European automaker and data systems built for large enterprises, this talk brings OEM-grade practice down to a mid-size plant's reality: plain-language access to production, sales and quality data; AI agents for quoting, reporting and customer follow-ups; and the guardrails that keep answers trustworthy. No robots, no lab talk: just the office side of manufacturing, where AI pays back first. You leave with a 90-day starting plan.

  4. Shipping Real Products with AI Agents: A Working Playbook

30 min talk · developer audiences · delivered at GDG Rajkot and Rajkot.Tech, 2026

How our team ships production software with AI agents, drawn from our day-to-day work with them. The playbook: plan before you prompt, put verification gates on everything, make the AI check its own work, and build a small library of repeatable commands. Live workflows, real numbers, and the failures that taught us the most, so you can skip them.
